Meir Yitzhak Halevi, mayor of Eilat, said after the suicide attack in Eilat that the town's residents knew terror would eventually come to the relatively peaceful beach resort.
"Eilat is one of Israel's assets, and we know it has been marked by extremists. We will do everything in our power to restore the town to normalcy and we will continue bringing tourists from Israel and abroad," Halevi said.
