Israel's Tourism Ministry announced on Saturday that it would sponsor Arsenal in exchange for the top English soccer team, which has many Jewish fans, promoting tourism to Israel.
The details of the sponsorship agreement are to be announced at a press conference in Tel Aviv on Sunday morning by Arsenal's managing-director, Keith Edelman, and Tourism Minister Avraham Hirschson.
The agreement was signed "to encourage European tourism to Israel," said Jonathan Pulik, foreign press consultant of the Tourism Ministry.
