Evangelical radio host holds prayer for Sharon

Evangelical Christian and radio broadcast Front Page Jerusalem co-host Earl Cox will return to Israel today to conduct an eight-hour prayer vigil outside Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv for former prime minister Ariel Sharon. Cox plans to start the vigil at 3 p.m. with the hope that other Christians from the US will join him in prayer at the coinciding hour at their homes and churches. In an e-mail sent to The Jerusalem Post , Cox said, "It is important that the people of Israel know that we in the Christian community care about them and their struggles as well as the health of their fallen leader." Cox spent 2005 in Jerusalem doing the Wall Warrior Prayer Program. The program had Christians silently praying eight hours everyday for the entire year at the Western Wall. •
