Ezra laments police intelligence capabilities

Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra expressed dissatisfaction Wednesday with the police's Intelligence Department and its continued failure to provide effective intelligence in criminal cases. "The police is working with tools from the 20th century while the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has tools from the 21st century," Ezra told Israel Radio. "Our success falls short especially when we are dealing with criminal organizations that from an intelligence perspective are far more competent and capable than a [Palestinian] terror cell."
