Haniyeh calls on kidnappers to spare Shalit's life

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh called on the kidnappers of Gilad Shalit on Tuesday to spare the soldier's life.
Haniyeh added that negotiations were essential to ending the crisis.
