Haredim block traffic in Ramat Beit Shemesh

Several hundred haredim blocked the main road to Ramat Beit Shemesh on Monday, set trash bins on fire, and pelted police with stones, police said. The haredim were holding a second day of violent street demonstrations in the area in protest over a family who moved into the haredi neighborhood who were not "religious enough" for their taste, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. Five demonstrators were arrested on the scene.
