Several hundred haredim blocked the main road to Ramat Beit Shemesh on Monday, set trash bins on fire, and pelted police with stones, police said.
The haredim were holding a second day of violent street demonstrations in the area in protest over a family who moved into the haredi neighborhood who were not "religious enough" for their taste, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said.
Five demonstrators were arrested on the scene.
