High schools to start late Tues. in protest of violence against teachers

Israeli high schools will begin at the later time of 9 a.m. on Tuesday in a protest against the increasing acts of violence against teachers. The protest was planned Monday by the Secondary School Teachers Organization. One of those acts of violence occurred Monday at a Kiryat Gat high school. An 11th Grade female pupil was banned from a yearly school trip after the principal claimed she was dressed immodestly. The girl called her father, who head-butted the principal. The principal was in need of hospital treatment following the attack.
