The IAF carried out two airstrikes in the Gaza Strips overnight Friday, targeting a weapons production facility in the north and an underground tunnel in the south.
The IDF said the tunnel, dug between Gaza and Israel, was intended to allow terrorists to infiltrate the country and carry out attacks.
Palestinians in Gaza said there were no casualties in the Israeli strikes.
The military said the strike came in response to two recent attacks: An infiltration attempt by gunmen on Thursday and a Kassam rocket launched into Israel Thursday night. There were no Israeli casualties in either incident.
