IBA threatens to sue Channels 2 and 10 over use of Olympics footage

The Israel Broadcasting Authority said on Wednesday it was considering taking legal action against Channels 2 and 10 due to their use of video footage from the Beijing Olympics, to which it holds broadcasting rights. The IBA said in a statement that the commercial channels were infringing on its rights, using the material "in violation of he rules." It did not elaborate. The IBA also said that the two channels had ignored several letters sent to them by its legal department regarding said violations.
