IDF: Bomb found near Palestinian shot by soldiers

The IDF reported early Saturday morning that an explosive device had been found near the body of a Palestinian who was shot and killed by IDF troops patrolling near Hebron on Friday evening. Additional searches in the area turned up another explosive that had been placed near a local road. Security sources said that they believed that the man had intended to operate the explosive against Israeli soldiers. The man was shot after troops patrolling near the village of Beit Kakhil heard an explosion. They searched the area and found the Palestinian, who was reportedly holding a suspicious object when soldiers opened fire, killing him.
