IDF: Escalation of Hizbullah violence expected

IDF officers in the Northern Command warned that the northern front is heading toward an escalation of violence, and that Hizbullah would try to increase attacks against Israel in order to influence the outcome of the upcoming elections, Army Radio reported on Sunday morning. "Hizbullah is trying to surprise us," said Lt. Col. Yaniv Ashur, the commander of a batallion posted along the Lebanese border. "The base assumption is that they will try to launch a terror attack, possibly accompanied by a kidnapping attempt."
