A vehicle was detonated near an IDF patrol in Nablus, Israel Radio reported Saturday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, but three jeeps were destroyed. The paratroopers who had been in the armored jeeps exited the vehicles and attempted to apprehend responsible parties. Upon realizing the extent of the damage to the vehicles, the patrol radioed for reinforcements to extract them from the scene of the explosion. Gunmen, lying in ambush, opened fire in the direction of the second group of paratroopers that had come to extract the first patrol. The IDF successfully removed the jeeps from the area.
