The IDF will begin construction of security barriers Sunday morning at the Zikim base south of Ashkelon.
Last week a Kassam rocket landed in the base and lightly wounded five IDF soldiers.
According to Army Radio, among the planned security measures are the construction of concrete walls, which are impenetrable to Kassam rockets and mortar shells.
