IDF to ease restrictions for Christian holidays

The IDF announced Tuesday morning plans for the easing of restrictions on the Palestinian population during the Christian holidays in the month of November. In the West Bank and the Jordan Valley the army will authorization entry to Israel for 2,000 merchants, in addition to the 10,000 already authorized and will authorize for up to 5,000 Christians from the West Bank and Jordan Valley to enter Israel on three different dates in order to participate in religious ceremonies. 1,000 workers will also be allowed entry, in addition to the already authorized 16,500. The IDF said it would continue to make every effort to preserve the daily life of the Palestinian population, while maintaining the safety of the citizens of Israel.
