The IDF Intelligence officer in the Galilee, who was responsible for the sector in which Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped, will be promoted to the rank of Assistant General and appointed intelligence officer for the Southern Command, Army Radio reported on Saturday night.
IDF sources expressed surprise that the promotion came before the results of the inquiry investigating the kidnapping were published.
