Israel allows ballots in Area B for PLC elections

The IDF early Monday morning permitted the placing of ballots and armed Palestinian guards in areas of the West Bank designated Area B, where Israel had generally retained security control. In recent days there was increased cooperation between IDF district commanders and their Palestinian counterparts, in preparation for the PLC elections on Wednesday. A joint Israeli-Palestinian inspection team was established, and was set to work together with an international team dispatched to the Palestinian territories in order to monitor the elections, Israel Radio reported.
