Israel beats Russia in European Championship qualifier

Israel beat Russia, 2-1, in a European Championship qualifier game Saturday, giving England a shot at qualifying.
A Russian victory at Israel's Ramat Gan stadium could have dashed England's hopes for a tournament berth. England now must at least tie with Croatia on Wednesday to qualify. Russia plays last place Andorra the same night.
