Israel: Blockade protesters will likely be allowed to leave unhindered

Left-wing protesters who defied a blockade of Gaza by sailing into the Palestinian territory will likely be allowed to leave unhindered, Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said Monday. Palmor said Israel avoided being "drawn into a provocation" when it permitted the two ships to reach Gaza on Saturday. He said Israel would "try to continue this policy" when the group of international activists depart. Protester Huwaida Arraf said one boat would leave Wednesday, while the other one would remain in Gaza for the time being.
