ITA director suspends himself to clear his name

Israel Tax Authority Director Jacky Matza decided on Saturday night to suspend himself from his post in order to concentrate on the fight to clear his name from the current bribery scandal. His attorney, Navot Tel-Tzur, will inform Hirchson of Matza's decision on Sunday morning. Police will also decide on Sunday whether to extend the remand of Matza and his two deputies or to release them to house arrest.
