Jerusalem Arab shot dead on West Bank highway

A 35-year-old Israeli Arab was shot and killed Sunday on a major West Bank highway on the outskirts of Jerusalem, police and rescue officials said. The IDF determined that the shooting was a terror attack, as the gunmen fired from a hilltop above the road and had no apparent target. Initially, police said the cause of the late-night attack on Road 443 near the Ofer military camp was internecine clan rivalry, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Magen David Adom paramedics. Two other people were lightly wounded in the shooting attack. In the past, Palestinian terrorists have mistakenly attacked Arabs traveling in cars with Israeli license plates.
