Jerusalem mayor warns against Hamas takeover

Jerusalem mayor, Uri Lupolianski, warned Sunday, at the opening of the government meeting, of a demographic collapse that will transfer the capital into the hands of Hamas. The government convened for its weekly meeting at the Begin Heritage Center in Mishkenot Sha'ananim, across from the old city walls, to mark the 40th anniversary of the unification of Jerusalem. Lupolianski said Jerusalem may pass into the hands of Hamas, which knows that it can gain demographic control of the capital within twelve years. He added that Israel needs a plan so that Jerusalem will forever remain Israel's capital.
