J'lem official: Peace talks being conducted on all core issues

Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians are being conducted on all the core issues but both sides have agreed not to disclose the details of the talks, a senior Jerusalem official said Tuesday. The official told Israel Radio that Israel had presented the principles whereby it would agree to a Palestinian state being established alongside it. According to these principles, a Palestinian state would be made up of refugees living under severe conditions in various countries and Arab Israelis now living in Israel who want to live in a Palestinian state. While those Arabs would have equal rights in Israel, they would be able to view the Palestinian state as an expression of their national aspirations.
