During a Monday meeting of Ministerial Committee for the Struggle Against Violence, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni will present the Justice Ministry’s plans to establish a witness protection program.
Justice Ministry sources said that the current legislation must be amended to speed up the legal proceedings in which the witnesses are involved and to increase legal penalties for threatening or intimidating the witnesses.
