Kadima officials balk at cost of parties' demands

Sources close to Acting Prime Minister Olmert on Wednesday expressed apprehension at the economic repercussion of the demands expected to be made by Labor, Shas and the Pensioners' Party during the coalition negotiations. Treasury officials estimated that the social-orientated parties' demands would cost the state as much as NIS 10 billion, Israel Radio reported.
