Karadi: Police force legitimized by laws of state

Police Inspector General Moshe Karadi, appearing before the Amona investigative committee after Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Dan Halutz, said there is no room to compare the force used by police to that used by protesters. "The police use force that is legitimized by the laws of the country. In every country, especially democratic countries, there are institutions that are entrusted and empowered by the law and government to use force, and there are those that are not. This is one profound difference whether some people accept it or not," he said.
