Livni: Israel will cut ties with PA if Fatah, Hamas create unity gov't

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Thursday that negotiations with the Palestinian Authority would come to end if Fatah decided to reestablish a unity government, Israel Radio reported. Peaks and low points that would make it difficult for both sides were expected during talks but we must continue nonetheless, said Livni during a meeting with European ambassadors. Damascus wishes to enter talks with Israel in order to regain control of the Golan Heights but there are other important issues connected with Syria such as its support for terror organizations and its attempts to sabotage Lebanon's governance, added the minister.
