Police announced Monday that a 20-year-old Bat Yam resident was arrested on Sunday night on suspicion of attempting to vote in last Tuesday's elections using someone else's identity card.
An election worker brought the man to the attention of police, who found him in possession of two identity cards. While a policeman was searching the youngster's possessions, the young man fled the scene.
The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court was due to extend the man's remand on Monday afternoon.
