Man confesses to aiding murder of Pinhas Bouhbout

In what may be the final chapter of a long tale of corruption, bribery and murder, Shimon Almakayis confessed and was convicted Wednesday morning of assisting in the murder of criminal Pinhas Bouhbout. Almakayis, whose alleged partner in the murder was the cop-turned-hitman Tzahi Ben-Or, is expected to serve a ten-year-sentence. Almakayis and Ben-Or allegedly acted at the command of the Perinian Brothers - Oded and Sharon - who are currently serving a five-year prison sentence after also making a plea-bargain deal with prosecutors. It was Bouhbout's murder - and the fault-ridden investigation into it - that ultimately led to the establishment of the Zeiler Commission.
