Marciano: Appoint welfare minister or Labor leaves

Labor Faction head Yoram Marciano demanded on Sunday that Labor leave the government if a welfare minister were not appointed in the next month.
Labor claims that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had committed to giving them the welfare portfolio if United Torah Judaism didn't join the coalition.
Sources close to the prime minister, however, claim that no concrete promises were made on the subject.
