The weekly protest against the security fence ended with only mild violence on Friday in the Palestinian town of Bil'in. Fifty protesters, consisting of Palestinians, Israeli left-wingers and foreigners, participated in the demonstration.
Macabim Brigade Commander Col. Moshe Sheetrit told Army Radio that there was almost no need to apply riot-dispersal steps against the protestors.
In recent months, there have been protests in Bil'in every Friday, including confrontations with security forces, that often turn violent and result in injuries and/or arrests.
