Milder than usual anti-fence riot in Bil'in ends

The weekly protest against the security fence ended with only mild violence on Friday in the Palestinian town of Bil'in. Fifty protesters, consisting of Palestinians, Israeli left-wingers and foreigners, participated in the demonstration. Macabim Brigade Commander Col. Moshe Sheetrit told Army Radio that there was almost no need to apply riot-dispersal steps against the protestors. In recent months, there have been protests in Bil'in every Friday, including confrontations with security forces, that often turn violent and result in injuries and/or arrests.
