Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz was scheduled to meet on Tuesday with Egyptian Prime Minister Hosni Mubarak in Cairo.
The two were expected to discuss recent developments in the region, including Hamas's victory in the Palestinian Authority legislative elections.
EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana was also expected to participate in the meeting between Mofaz and Mubarak, Israel Radio reported.
