Two men and a 16-year-old girl were wounded late Monday night in a drive-by shooting in the parking lot of a Beersheba school. Police said they believed the shooting was part of a gang war between local criminal organizations. Both of the men were known to police for their alleged involvement in criminal activity. The girl, who police initially said was caught in the crossfire as she walked in the schoolyard, was evacuated to Soroka Hospital where she was treated for moderate wounds. The shots were fired from a passing car. The two men, in their twenties, sustained serious wounds and were also evacuated to Soroka Hospital. Roadblocks were set up in the area in an attempt to apprehend the shooters. Police arrested on Tuesday a 28-year-old suspect believed to have been involved in the shooting. Meanwhile Monday, a 20-year-old man was seriously wounded after he was stabbed in the stomach at the Yad Mordechai Junction in the south. A Magen David Adom ambulance evacuated him to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. Another man was found stabbed in his upper torso on Rehov Saharov in Rishon Letzion. He was evacuated to Assaf Harofe Hospital.
