NRP announces its support for Rav Lau as president

Secretary-General of the National Religious Party Shalom Jarbi announced on Thursday evening that the NRP would back Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau as a candidate for the presidency.
Jarbi said "It is the NRP's responsibility, and that of all of the religiously and traditionally observant MKs to support Rabbi Lau's nomination for the role of president. No one is more appropriate than the former chief rabbi to serve now as Israeli's president."
