Ofir Glazer, husband of Bank Hapoalim Ltd. controlling share holder and billionaire Shari Arison, began his court-ordered incarceration for sex crimes Sunday morning.
Glazer was convicted in September 2005 on counts of committing an indecent act and sexual harassment involving two women. He was sentenced to six months in jail with 12 months suspended, fined NIS 10,000 and ordered to pay compensation of NIS 15,000 to each of the women
On February 4, Supreme Court Justice Edmond Levy rejected Glazer's request for permission to appeal against the lower court's ruling against him. A previous appeal to the Tel Aviv District Court was rejected last September.
