Olmert discusses Iranian issue with German FM Steinmeier

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met Thursday morning with German Foreign Minister Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The two discussed regional matters, including the Iranian issue and the Palestinian Authority. According to a PMO press release, "Olmert emphasized the importance of the expected meeting in Annapolis, which will be able to serve as a milestone and create the necessary support for the continuation and expansion of the existing process between Israel and the Palestinians. On the Iranian issue, the Prime Minister stressed the importance he ascribes to Germany's strong support of the continued expansion of sanctions against Iran."
