Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Querei condemned the government decision to ban Palestinian cars from travelling through the West Bank.
He described the move as a form of collective punishment.
He also warned that the measure was counter-productive and served only to strengthen Palestinian extremist groups, Israel Radio reported.
