IDF soldiers deployed south-east of Shvut Rahel, near El Muair in the Binyamin District, shot and wounded one Palestinian, after he and a companion repeatedly ignored soldiers' warnings to cease and desist.
Troops spotted two Palestinians blocking a road with stones and called on the two to cease their activity. When they ignored the calls, soldiers fired deterrent shots and then warning shots in the air.
The Palestinians still ignored the soldiers' warnings, and the soldiers shot at the two. The IDF confirmed wounding one Palestinian, while the second succeeded in fleeing the scene.
According to IDF sources, the wounded Palestinian suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and will be airlifted to an Israeli hospital.
