A 25-year-old Gaza women was shot twice and killed Monday, Palestinian hospital officials said. Fatima Abu Musaed's family said Israeli soldiers shot her near the border fence with Gaza, the officials said.
Israeli military officials said soldiers fired warning shots in the air Monday afternoon after two people were spotted near the fence in southern Gaza.
In the past, IDF soldiers have shot people who approach the fence separating Gaza from Israel, fearing they might be planning an attack.
