Palestinian security officials in the Gaza Strip are reporting one gunman killed and two wounded in an IAF air strike near the northern town of Beit Hanoun
They say the air attack came shortly after ground troops entered the area late Wednesday night.
The IDF said there had been fighting in the vicinity but did not immediately have further details.
