Two parties decided Monday on their candidates of choice for the upcoming presidential election. The GIL Pensioners' Party decided to endorse Shimon Peres and Israel Beiteinu will support Reuven Rivlin.
Israel Beiteinu will allow Estherina Tartman to vote for Collette Avital in the first round, but will enforce the party's choice upon her in the second round.
Meretz decided to give party members the freedom to vote for their candidates of choice. The decision will allow faction chairman Zehava Gal-On to vote for Avital, Haim Oron to vote for Rivlin and Yossi Beilin, Avshalom Vilan and Ran Cohen to choose Peres.
