A plea bargain was reportedly reached on Wednesday morning in the case of pro-Palestinian activist Tali Fahima.
According to the bargain, Fahima admitted to contacting a foreign agent with the intention of harming the security of the state, transferring information to the enemy, and violation of a legal order.
In exchange for her plea, the clauses of aiding the enemy during wartime and membership in a terrorist organization were removed from the indictment. According to Israel Radio, Fahima was set to serve three years in jail, of which her present detention period would be counted, such that she was expected to be released in less than a year.
The judges in her case have not yet approved the plea bargain.
Fahima was arrested following her alleged contacts with wanted al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades leader in Jenin, Zakariya Zubeidi.
