PM: Justice system must keep checking corruption

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Monday that the Israeli justice system must continue to investigate all suspicions of corruption. "Do not stop investigating, do not stop checking, do not stop striving to repair the world we live in. Do this faithfully, with integrity, effectively, while examining every incident in its circumstances, purified of any poisonous atmosphere and attempts at foreign influence," Olmert said. Still, the prime minister emphasized that "the foundation of justice assumes as an inalienable asset that every man is innocent until proven guilty."
