PM Sharon set to appoint temporary ministers

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will appoint temporary ministers on Sunday to replace the seven Labor ministers who quit last week. Sources close to Sharon said he would only appoint temporary ministers from among the six ministers who have shifted to his new Kadima party. Some ministries will be left without a temporary minister until Sharon is allowed to appoint new ministers without Knesset approval on December 28. The Likud decided last week that its six remaining ministers would stay in the cabinet until after the party's December 19 primary. If elected Likud leader, MK Binyamin Netanyahu, said he would take the Likud out of the government while Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said he would have the Likud remain in the government.
