The Prime Minister's Office denied on Saturday a statement made by the Popular Resistance Committees on Friday that "significant progress" had been made towards the release of captive IDF Cpl. Gilad Schalit.
A PRC spokesman had said that Schalit would be freed if Israel agreed to let imprisoned Tanzim leader Marwan Barghouti and several other high-profile prisoners out of jail, Army Radio reported.
