PMO: It was PM's idea to expedite Barak appt.

The Prime Minister's Office said Sunday that the decision to expedite the appointment of new Labor chairman Ehud Barak to the Defense portfolio had been Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's, Israel Radio reported. Cabinet ministers were asked to approve Barak's appointment by telephone following a meeting between Barak and Olmert on Friday.
