Police break up explosives manufacturing ring in Galilee village
By YAAKOV LAPPIN
Karmiel police raided a number of sites used to manufacture explosive devices in the Galilee village of Dir al-Assad on Sunday, arresting three
suspects who are residents of the village.
The raid was launched as part of a clampdown to end armed feuds between clans and criminal organizations in the area.
It came after an intensive undercover investigation run in conjunction with the Border Police's Ofek Unit which lasted for several months.
Police say the sites were used as small factories to assemble explosive.
