Police considering another investigation against Olmert

The Police Investigative Unit is considering opening another investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Channel 2 reported Wednesday evening. The issue in question was first reported by Yoav Yitzhaki and involves sums of money transferred to Olmert by Likud activist Shlomi Oz during the 1999 Likud party primaries. According to the report, Oz transferred NIS 100,000 to Olmert. An adviser to the prime minister flatly denied the report, saying "it never happened." Channel 2 quoted Oz as saying in response to the suspicions against him that he had already been investigated twice in the matter, and the police had found nothing against him.
