Police form investigative team ahead of elections

The Israel Police established on Monday a special investigative team to deal with complex elections-related crimes on the part of public servants. Investigators on the team will closely follow internal party primaries, and will deal with any irregularities after the general elections, Israel Radio reported. Police chief Insp.-Gen. Moshe Karadi made decided to form the team, and instructed that investigators in local stations and regional districts be tutored on dealing with elections-related cases. These cases would receive precedence until the elections.
