Police heighten level of alert ahead of Pessah

The police heightened the alert level around Israel on Wednesday morning ahead of Pessah. Police officers were deployed in shopping malls, city centers and in synagogues in order to tighten security ahead of the Seder after recent terror attacks have shown that maximal security levels are necessary even when there aren't specific intelligence leads. "The public must continue life and celebrate, leaving the security concerns for those in uniform," Border Police commander Israel Yitzhak told Army Radio.
