The mayor of Ramat Hasharon was investigated on Tuesday and Wednesday by Bat Yam's National Financial Crimes Unit, the police reported.
Yitzhak Rokhberger is suspected of receiving bribes, fraud and breach of trust.
According to police, the mayor is being investigated for alleged crimes he committed while heading two organizations connected to local municipality workers.
